Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Sunday, February 17th, at Summerton Funeral Home Chapel.


Public Viewing will be held from 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M., on Saturday, February 16th, at the Funeral Home.

On Tuesday, February 12, 2019, our beloved Brother Alonza (JoJo) White, heard the voice of God whisper in his ear;“Be Still – Rest Now, you are at peace”, and he quietly departed.


Born in Clarendon County, on August 5, 1959; he was a son of the late George M. Sr. and Dorcus Green White.


Alonza attended public schools of Clarendon County.  As a lad, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined New Hope African Methodist Episcopal Church in Pinewood, SC.


“JoJo”, as he was affectionately known, was loved and respected in his community. “JoJo” was always willing to give a helping hand whenever needed. He took pleasure in spending time with his family.


“JoJo” leaves to cherish his loving memories, five brothers, George M. White Jr. of Dallas, TX, James (Jennie) White, Reverend Neal Norman White, Reverend Kerry White and Reverend Shedrick (Donna) White of Pinewood; one uncle, Abie White; two aunts, Geneva White both of Baltimore MD and Rosa Riley of Sumter; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends


In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers; Earl Louis Green, Harry Lee White and Kinston White.
