Our Beloved brother David Lee Felder, affectionately known as“Gas”, departed this earthly life on Saturday, April 6, 2019.


Born in Clarendon County, on June 24, 1963, he was a son of the late David “Rat” Felder and Mary Jane Bosier Felder. “Gas” received his formal education in the public school system in Florida. David was employed with Flowers Farm, prior to retirement.


He had strong family values, determination, courage, and great strength. David was a good-hearted, caring and fun-loving proud father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. “Gas” enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; had a passion for drag racing and coaching football. He was always there to give a helping hand and willing to give his last.


He leaves to cherish his precious memories two sons, David Jackson of Summerton and Kendrick Jackson of Sumter; three daughters, Kimberly Jackson and  Brittany Jackson both of Columbia SC and Shaneea Jackson of Summerton; stepmother, Virginia Hall Hunt of Florida; three brothers, Henry Felder of Columbia, George and Charles Hall both of Florida; eight sisters, Betty Ann Felder, Barbara Jean Felder, Sandra Felder and Patricia Ann (James) Vance all of Columbia SC, Shirley Felder, Kathy (Gary) German, Chiquila Hall and Tonya Hall all of Florida; seven grandchildren, Alexander, Tarlaysia, Zymir, Jamya, Sincere, Kadee and Kamora; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other close relatives and close friends. A lot of people were special to him, but – Daisy Mae Bosier, Robert “Lou” Lang and Reginald “Ty” Pusher were well known in his eyes.


In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Angel Kamyra Pompey.
