The Lord of our Father introduced another one of His angels to His eternal world. Our beloved Dorothy Brunson-Blanding, beloved wife of James Blanding, III, quietly departed our earthly realm at her residence in Manning, South Carolina.
Born September 8, 1950, in the Jordan community of Clarendon County, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Sarah D. Brunson. Dorothy received her education in the public schools of Clarendon County and was a graduate of Manning Training High School Class of 1968.
“Dot Dot”, as she was so affectionately known as, had an extreme love for cooking and baking. Whenever she got in the kitchen, there was no stopping her.
At a young age, Dorothy joined Mt. Chapel Baptist Church of the Jordan Community and remained a faithful member until her health failed.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Brunson and Edward Dingle.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her loving memories, her devoted husband of 41 glorious years, James Blanding, III, of the home; one son, Adrian Brunson of Sumter, SC; one brother, Ivory (Fay) Brunson of Hallendale, FL; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Brunson of Hallendale, FL and Linda B. Parker of Manning, SC; three grandchildren, two special friends, Fred (Mary Ann) Prince and Louise Walker, both of Buffalo, NY; a devoted cousin, Vivian Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
