On Thursday, October 11, 2018, our beloved Mrs. Lou “Fannie” Burno Dais, widow of Mr. Paul Dais, departed our earthly midst at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina to be with the Lord.
She was born in Clarendon County, South Carolina on February 7, 1935, to the late Richard and Mamie Gaters Burno.
Having been reared in a loving and faithful Christian home, “Fannie” as she was affectionately known, accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and joined Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, where “Fannie” was baptized. “She” loved the Lord and was a fervent worker, serving in any capacity in the church, until her health declined.
As a youth, “Fannie” received her education the public schools of Clarendon County.
“She” was employed as a housekeeper for many years, until retirement.
Lou “Fannie” was a very passionate, humble and loving person; always willing to give a helping hand whenever needed.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by four brothers, Ulysees, Charlie, Miracle and James Burno; one sister, Pernice McFarland.
Lou “Fannie” leaves to cherish her precious memories one daughter, Teresa Williams; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; longtime companion, Moses (Bo) Hilton; one brother, Blease (Helen) Burno; one sister, Annie Lee Thomas; a host of nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.
