James Anthony Webb, beloved husband of Betty Brunson Webb, was called to his heavenly home on Monday, February 26, 2018, at McLeod Health Clarendon in Manning, South Carolina.

 

Born on March 1, 1953 in Dalzell, South Carolina. He was a son of the late Sheridan and Nellie Johnson Webb.

 

Anthonyreceived his education in the public schools of Sumter County. Afterward, he enlisted in the United States Army and was trained in Radio Communications. While serving, Anthonytraveled the world and earn multiple accolades.

 

Following his tour of duty,hebecame employed with the United States Postal Service,and after 25 years of service, retired in 2009.

 

At an early age, Anthonyaccepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined High Hill A.M.E. Church. Anthony was a devout member, having served as a Trustee and on the Men Fellowship board. Later on, he moved this membership to Mt. Pleasant U.M.E. Church, servingfaithfully as aTrustee, Usher and also an Assistant Sunday School Superintendent.

 

Anthonywas joined in holy matrimony to his devoted wife, the former Betty Brunson.

 

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Betty Webb;two sons, Kyheem Cofield and James Webb Jr. (Simone); three daughters, Tonya Cohen, Berdenia Brunson and Kelsey Brunson (John);11 grandchildren, Adara, Kahlil, Chantel, Tayanna, Kierra, Breonca, Ky’Asiah, Raet, Kyliegh, Ja’heem, and Jhene; one great-grand, Sydney; three sisters, Carol Webb, Barbara (Willie) Webb and Sandra (Oliver) Peterson; a lifetime brother, Peter Prioleau; two brothers-in-law, Eddie Lee and Abraham Brunson; four sisters-in-law, Daisy (Henry) White, Mary (Joseph) Gunter, Betty (Abraham) Webb and Elanora (Billy) Brunson; one uncle, Willie (Deborah) Dawson; three aunts, Elouise Roach, Saundra Roach and Mary Alice (Steve) Rivers; extended family, the Prioleau’s; a host of special nephewsand nieces, other loving relatives and friends.

 

In addition to his parents, Anthony was also preceded in death by his brother, Lewis; one sister, Ida Johnson;one sister-in-law, Barbara Brunson and one brother-in-law, George Brunson.
