Reverend Johnnie L. Lawson, Sr., Officiating

Jammie Gaymon was born in Washington, District of Columbia, on Wednesday, December 10, 1975; he was a son of Jimmie Lee Gaymon and the Late Earlene Nixon.

“J-Rock” as he was affectionately known, was educated in the public schools of Clarendon School District One and attended

Scott’s Branch High School in Summerton, South Carolina. At an early age, Jammie joined House of God of Manning.

He was employed with Copeland Lawn Finishing as a Machine Operator in Sumter.

“J-Rock” lived a simple life and there was never a dull movement when he was around. Jammie was the type of person whom could make you laugh no matter his mood. “J-Rock” had a special zeal for his family and friends. Jammie relished spending time with family, especially his nephews and nieces in which he loved so dearly. In his pastime, “J-Rock” enjoyed fishing and spending quality time at the lake.

On Thursday, May 30, 2019, God saw his soul needed rest and called Jammie Gaymon from labor to reward at the Medical University of South Carolina.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his beloved father, Jimmie Lee Gaymon; two brothers, Michael (Sherry) Nixon both of Maryland and Eric Gaymon (Kaylah) of South Carolina; a beloved sister, Markita (Duane) Owens of Maryland; a special cousin, Tanisha Thames whom he loved like a sister; a special friend, Bertha Marie Joyce along with her two children whom he loved dearly, Keondra and Caliel all of South Carolina; eight nephews, Michael, Dontel, Trayvon, Deondré , Eric, Jalen, Tyree and Legend; three nieces, Makayla, Nysha and Lyric; one great-niece, Paris Owens; one uncle, Burgess Gaymon; three aunts, Helen (Alfonzo) Smith, Sharon (Ric) Thames-Simms  and Barlenda Nixon; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
