On Saturday, July 21, 2018, Mrs. Michelle Renee “Diane” Miller-Crosby quietly transitioned out of time into eternity at The Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina.
Michelle was born in Newton, New Jersey on March 23, 1956, to the late Edward and Edna Miller. She was reared by the late Purse and Pearl Bogan Hough in Thomasville, North Carolina. “Diane”, as she was affectionately known as, received her formal education in the public schools of Thomasville, North Carolina and was a graduate of Thomasville High School.
After graduation, “Diane” worked various jobs. She was an extraordinary woman, her talents and abilities were always displayed in various ways. In 2002, “Diane” relocated to Pinewood, South Carolina. In 2014, she accepted our Lord and Savior and joined Antioch UME church. There “Diane” was an ardent member, served loyally on the Usher Board and worked wherever duty called, until her health failed.
On February 9, 2014, the former Michelle R. “Diane” Miller, was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Keefer D. Crosby.
She was an extremely kind and sincere person who will be missed tremendously by her family and friends. “Diane” has completed her task. She leaves to cherish her memories; her loving husband, Keefer D. Crosby; three grandsons, Quentin and Preston Brown and Avion Scott all of Highpoint, NC.; two brothers in law, Melvin Crosby of High Point, NC and Rainey Crosby of Kentucky; two sisters in law, Patsy Pugh of Pinewood and Deyun (Anthony) Riley of Sumter; she was blessed to have a large entourage of devoted and loving family and friends. In addition to her biological and adopted parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Valarie Hough and sister, Sarai Miller.
