Pauline Bennett, was born February 4, 1941 in Clarendon County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late John W. Bennett and Corine Gibbs Bennett. She was preceded in death by Royal Underwood, Sr., one daughter (baby girl Bennett), four brothers, Joe Nathan Bennett (Etta), Buster Bennett (Queenie), Lawrence Bennett, Sr., Frazier Bennett, and two sisters, Elizabeth Singleton (Joseph) and Daisy Bennett.

Pauline attended the Clarendon County public school system. She was a loving mother of three children and she worked at Sunshine Restaurant in Summerton, South Carolina for many years. She moved from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1985 to South Carolina to take care of her father and brother.

Surviving are two daughters, Pamela Bennett of South Carolina and Sharon Mimms of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; one son, Royal Underwood, Jr., of North Carolina; a god-daughter, Leona Smalley of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bertha (Jimmy) Martin, Mae Pearl Caldwell, and Georgia (Pete) Jones, and one brother, Adam (Paula) Bennett; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and loving friends.
